Hello,
I apologise if there is a better place to put this question. I have been searching online for a place to buy plastic half pots for my cacti. I don't want terracotta ones as they are too heavy for my purposes, so they must be plastic. The plastic pots which are readily available are too deep for many of my plants.
I would be very grateful for any tips on online sources.
Best wishes to all.

Hello
Depending on your desired size and depth, I have been buying my pots from the 'Desert Rose Shop' on eBay.
They sell 4cm x 4cm, 5cm x 5 cm, 6cm x 6 cm in terracotta plastic. and 10cm x 10cm in black plastic.
They are strong plastic pots and will last for years. The supplier is very reliable I grow dwarf South African Mesembs and have 150 of them and have placed 3 orders with them for 6cm x 6cm pots.

I find the Soparco octagonal pots perfect for my plants. They are not easy to find so I have had to buy them by the case. I’ve got 12, 16 and 18cm pots ( I think those sizes are correct). The picture shows 16cm pots. The 12cm ones have a similar aspect ratio. The 18cm pots are a little deeper, but still a nice shallow pot.
Woodside Cacti often list the 12cm size. I can’t remember ever seeing the larger ones listed other than by the case (about100 to 300 pots depending on size).

Hi
I have been browsing this site, for a few days they have 25% off, the fat black pots would make excellent display pots for shows. https://greenlink.gmbh/en/products/rund ... topf-bowly
ALSO great T shirts here. Copiapoa one worn by Roger ferryman at the Colin norton auction
They need a variegated agave one though .

I have some black square 20 x 20 x 10 cm pots spare I got by mistake from Czech Republic, but would need to do some maths to take all the costs incurred (international postage etc.) into account. Should come to maybe a fiver each, I can send the details later today if you're interested.

These are brilliant, and it looks like Woodside are the cheapest option. Southfields also sells them, but can’t see them online. I bought some last time I was there, and I’m kicking myself I didn’t buy more.Cidermanrolls wrote: ↑Fri Dec 22, 2023 10:06 pm I find the Soparco octagonal pots perfect for my plants. Where do you buy them by the case? Direct from soparco?
Growing in Nottingham for the past 4 years and recently found my way to a Nottingham branch meeting. A few plants on a windowsill has very quickly turned into a greenhouse full!
Attempting to grow a range of turbinicarpus, coryphantha, escobaria and several other cactus genera. Tylecodons, pelargoniums and conophytums keep me occupied in the winter and an ever expanding number of gasteria live under the bench.

Thank you to everyone for your replies, this is so helpful. I think the BEF pots look ideal for my needs, I've never used them before.
