Combined Branch Events Diary for 2023

Post by Chris L »

https://bcss.org.uk/combined-branch-eve ... -for-2023/

Hopefully people may be aware of this, if not please have a look.

Lots of branch meetings now listed for 2023. If any take your fancy that are nearby please consider attending if you don't already go.

Quite a number of branch meetings are still missing (about 1/3rd) so if your branch meetings aren't there then please chase it up with your branch secretary.

Excellent idea Chris
Puts everything into one place for ease of reference
Thanks
Endeavouring to grow Aylostera, Echinocereus, Echinopsis, Gymnocalycium, Matucana, Rebutia, and Sulcorebutia. Fallen out of love with Lithops and aggravated by Aeoniums.
Currently being wooed by Haworthia, attempting hybridisation, and enticed by Mesembs. Recently discovered gorgeous Gasteria.

I think there are 63 branches now and if they all have 12 meetings a year that is 780 meetings. I think one or two don't have 12 meetings a year, so maybe the total number will be nearer 700, but still impressive non-the-less! An average of 2 meetings every single day of the year isn't bad.

I'd say that it's a better situation than the one in which we used to be. Therefore that can only be progress.

Well done Chris, a pity not all branches list their meetings.

Nice to see this all listed on one page and clearly. Thanks for all the work. Brighton meetings are on their webpages though haven't made the list.

Stuart
I think Brighton is due to be added.

I am not going to call out any particular branch, but they have all been asked (in some cases several times). Hopefully everyone will see the benefit of the list and contribute in the future.

Something simple like this can have a real impact on getting people to see how many meetings there are and where they are happening.

To repeat my note above if your branch meeting details are not there, please chase it up with your secretary.
