Here's a couple of picts from an Open day ( I love going on Open days) I went on last year I think they are Espostoa.I really loved the fluffy cephaleum on this plant apparently so do the mice who collect it for nesting

I'm not very good on other Cereus, Tina, but is that not a Pilosocereus leucocephalus (palmeri) in front and perhaps the top of an Oreocereus behind??

Yes I think you are right, I kept thinking it was like some marlon had a written about but couldn't remember the genus- it is only a cactus after all. I'll ask phil to remove the three posts unless I can find an espostoa photo

Please don't remove them, for they are excellent examples of other columnar cacti well worth growing alongside Espostoa. And I'm sure you have room for such plants (columnar cacti) amongst all your other succulents; after all they don't take up much space, except growing upwards.Tina wrote:Hio Tony
