A collection forever gone

Post by Ernie »

I hope you all dont mind me posting this photograph of my mother who died this week aged 90. It was a photo that appeared in the Cumberland Newspaper in the 1980's; at the time she had a lovely collection. Her pride and joy is sat on her knee.
During recent years many have disappeared gone to who knows where. This week I brought the few remaining plants to add to my collection.
Mother loved her plants and took great care of them.

I just wanted to share this with cyber friends.

That is a lovely photo to remember your Mum by. I like the few low ceramic pots here and there, which I try to hunt for in charity shops. The plants are so well presented in the conservatory. Any idea of the name of the plant your Mum is holding, or can anybody make a suggestion what it is?

Nice picture & collection.
The plant I would suggest is Euphorbia bupluerifolia and the largest I have ever seen !

Ernie. My thoughts are with you. What a friendly looking lady your mum was. Looks like she had some nice plants to care for. Regards.

That's a very nice flowering Euphorbia bupleurifolia, indeed!

Is that plant still part of the remaining of the collection?
