Threw half a tray full of these out last year thinking they must have been damaged. I've now got a horrible feeling they were variagated. Ferrocactus fordii.

An ugly duckling or a swan?
Hi Roy
There's a very desirable red Lithops cultivar, L.otzeniana 'Cesky Granat' (Czech garnet). Apparently when seedlings of the red form first appeared in cultivation, they were weeded out and discarded!!
i know almost nothing about variegated cacti but I would be surprised if a whole tray showed variegation. More probably damage, but maybe under your growing conditions that's highly unlikely

Ever hopeful, trying to grow plants from arid sunny climates in the UK!
Lithops, Haworthia, Adromischus, other south African succulents including Ceropegia and some Crassula.

Hi Roy
Certainly looks unusual , I have some t.alonsoii (sp?) seedlings that keep growing with pinky yellow colouring on some sides so it's possible.
Pijya had some pictures of variegated plants from the show images he posted.
