Looks like some form of Gymnocalycium jarium var cookerense.

Thanks - Though I can't find two of those to look up in my copy of Anderson??
It is in fact a Crown Devon preserve pot, probably from the early 1950s... I'm just wondering whether anyone else on the forum collects cactus china (or other items?)?

Tending more towards cacti , particularly Gymnocalyciums, Rebutias, Sulcorebutias, Echinopses, Thelos, Feros and Mamms (and anything else I like the look of!) all in an 8 x 6 polycarb greenhouse and a few windowsills!
