Shades of red and orange
A few flowers (and one interloper) from the last week or so now that flowering season is getting underway in my greenhouse...
Oreocereus hempelianus (or Arequipa erectocylindrica, as the BCSS seed packet said 30+ years ago) - the first glamorous cactus flower in the greenhouse this year. (The actual first cactus flower was on Mammillaria vetula [either fragilis or gracilis] but that's small and hard to photograph). A few hours after the Oreocereus: Matucana madisoniorum Prolific, if small and brownish: Acharagma roseanum Lobivia schieliana var. quiabayensis WR205 (a "spare" coming into bloom well before my main/biggest plant) Sempervivum 'Gold Nugget'. Not a flower, not a cactus and not in the greenhouse, but this has been looking as though it has burning coals inside it for weeks now.

Endeavouring to grow Aylostera, Echinocereus, Echinopsis, Gymnocalycium, Matucana, Rebutia, and Sulcorebutia. Fallen out of love with Lithops and aggravated by Aeoniums.
