Good range of different flowers in that lot, Mike, disproving the "All small aloes have similar flowers" mantra.

Hi Mike,
I love the shapes and the colours - small Aloes are great plants to grow and offer lots of variability in leaf shapes, colours and flowers of course.
Could you please post a picture of your A. haworthoides v aurantiaca? I have one as well, but it is very different to the pure A. haworthoides and I would be interested to see yours.
Thanks.

There you go. Aurantiaca on the right plus haworthioides flower.

Thanks Mike - the plant looks similar to mine then and distinctively different to the type.
Now, an interesting point - according to the book 'The Aloe of Madagascar' by J-B and JP Castillon, the type is rare in the filed and its flowers are described as white-pink, while v aurantiaca being more common, has yellow-red flowers. Could that be that most of us are actually growing the v aurantiaca and that you should swap your labels Mike?
