Just a couple of photos of a plant I was going to bin recently... Always take your magnifying glass out before doing so!

I still don't know why the "mother" plant died, but I think I came to peace with it.

I find that it is not uncommon for this and similar Hawothiopsis to lose one to many leaves, often on the same side, but it's rather less common for a whole head to go. I'm glad it still had some growing points at the bottom to "reboot" itself from.

Yes, I certainly was a bit surprised, but at least I should have a backup plant or two after the winter.
