Haworthia truncata x (?) 'Cloudy' - any info?

Happy <whenever you read this>!

My recent purchase off eBay, a lovely H. truncata hybrid 'Cloudy'. My gut feeling tells me that mutica might be involved, but I am wondering if anyone knows anything about this particular hybrid, or would like to try the "who's my pops" game with me?

I'll just gently bump this thread once, maybe someone remembers something or have a similar hybrid with known parentage.

It looks similar to my H.truncata Lime Green.

My Lime Green variegated don't spiral very much at all Allan - I wonder if there are a number of clones or it's a culture thing?

I think it could have a retusa type as one parent. Or it is a complex hybrid crossed with truncata.

You could be right on both counts.
Unfortunately, I doubt Mat will get a definitive answer.

You're both certainly right! I saw a very similar looking hybrid with (apparently, it's the internet, nothing is real...) H. mutica in it (that's the retusoid ingredient in).

I also looked at the 'Lime Green' and 'Down Under' (I still think it's named after Australia, much better story than finding a plant under your shelving...), but this one has much wider "windows".

Anyway, I was really just hoping someone might know that plant, according to the source it was purchased long time ago on one of the BCSS branches' event.

Thanks for your comments!
