I didn't know Tony personally, but have memories of many of his superb plants, seen at National shows over the years. Definitely one of the great growers of our plants. RIP.

In addition to what Tony did for the society as detailed in the advance notice of the auction of his plants, he was a very kind and helpful person and was keen to support people new to the plants. He will certainly be greatly missed.

When I joined the Leicester branch of the BCSS Tony took me under his wing, he taught me so much, gave me plants, invited me out with Margaret and himself, to shows and auctions and was generally a very good friend. He will not only be a huge loss to the society but as a friend to many.I will certainly miss him greatly.
RIP Tony and condolences to Margaret

Very sad news. A lovely man, and a knowledgeable grower who did so much for the society.
