Some random photos from this week.

Post by Darren S »

New growth on Austrocactus colloncurensis seedlings (I see that this has apparently been sunk into bertinii?).

Pelargonium moniliforme 'dwarf form'. I can't comment on its dwarfness as it is the only form I grow.

A rather red flowered Pleiospilos nelii. The other two in the pot are the more usual orange.

Like the Pelargonium. I'm not familiar with that.

Thanks Mike - it is in section Hoarea so would fit with your collection. I will try to collect some seed for you.

Endeavouring to grow Aylostera, Echinocereus, Echinopsis, Gymnocalycium, Matucana, Rebutia, and Sulcorebutia. Fallen out of love with Lithops and aggravated by Aeoniums.
Currently being wooed by Haworthia, attempting hybridisation, and enticed by Mesembs. Recently discovered gorgeous Gasteria.

Thanks Tina. Yep, pretty much non existent. It is just a taproot with some nondescript summer deciduous leaves. Some Hoarea can have interesting leaves - not this one.

Looks like you got good germination and survival from the Austrocactus. Did you do any seed treatment to get this result?
