This is a new plant I got last week from a friend, I was really surprised as its flowering but what a beauty.
Its sitting in my kitchen window so I can keep a check on it & admire the fast growing stem, anyone else got one flowering so we can do a pollen swap ??

Re: Aloe Erinacea flowering
I haven't got an erinacea but my humilis x pratensis is producing a very similar flower spike at the moment and I have some frozen Aloe polyphylla pollen that might still be viable if you fancy trying something different!

OOh, what a good idea.
I'll give it a try my friend also has a flowering aloe longystyla.
Of course I'd prefer a true cross, I've never seen an erinacea in flower is it rare in UK, which would seem odd as I have seen bigger plants

Lovely plant Tina. I wonder if it might be self-compatible? My A. Longistyla certainly is.

Tina, my humilis x pratensis plant has finally come into flower (even after moving it into the house to speed things along!) - do you still want the pollen or is it too late?

Hi Edds,
Too late for my plant, my kitchen was too warm, flowers was a bit disappointing I thought it would be brighter & somehow it got a greenfly infestation ( made me unpopular), I have some pollen that may be OK, whats app me your address & I'll send it
