Rhipsalis in flower

Post by saddlestoneman »

Hello All

Much to my surprise I found my Rhipsalis (variety unknown) in flower this morning. There are half a dozen buds around the other side.

It was rooted from a tiny cutting a couple of years ago, and has spent this winter indoors rather than in the cool greenhouse.

best regards ... Stef

Hi Stef,
Looks like Rhipsalis pilocarpa to me, but I'm note sure there has not been a name change, years ago it was something like Ethorhipsalis?? Mine too has flowered, some times has the odd fruit/Berry on it.
Here's a pic..

Best of luck with it, it's quite an easy plant this.

Mel.

Noticed a couple of white stars hanging down in the front porch the other day.
To be honest I thought it was a little early for R pilocarpa, but maybe the sunshine of the last two days has brought them out.
