Endeavouring to grow Aylostera, Echinocereus, Echinopsis, Gymnocalycium, Matucana, Rebutia, and Sulcorebutia. Fallen out of love with Lithops and aggravated by Aeoniums.

Re: Some closeup photos
Hi Fatich! You obviously are very successful with your seed raising! Well done - there are some choice plants there.
Just a quick question for everyone: if you look closely at the picture of the Mammillaria humboldtii seedlings, you will see that on a few of the tubercules, the spines have failed to develop properly, but the plant has then recovered. It's a problem I have noticed on some of my plants too - even adult plants, not just seedlings - in a range of genera, not only Mammillaria, but also e.g. Aylostera. Does anyone know what causes this problem?
