Hi,
I have seen these plants in 2019 in Wellington. I have a name in mind, but I'm not that sure. What is it please?
Thanks,
Eduart

Aichryson laxum?
Re: What is it please?
Hi,
Thank you very much for your reply! I had this idea before but I abandoned it quickly. The leaves shape, the fact that they are slightly floured, the reddish stems - that speaks for it. However, I haven't seen the flowers, and Aichryson is not listed in any additional flora list, not as casual or as naturalized. I was thinking also of Aichryson tortuosum, but we have the same problems here.
I made in a hurry four or five pictures, but I kept only two as the rest were horrible pictures taken in a big hurry.
A. laxum or A. tortuosum, I have the same problem.
Any other opinions?
Many thanks,
Eduart

Re: What is it please?
Definitely looks like an Aichryson.
I suggest you compare it to the species shown here:

Re: What is it please?
Hi Ralph,
Thank you very much. I will stick with Aichryson laxum. I already had a second opinion pointing towards this ID. It wasn't noticed until now in New Zealand as additional plant. It is a short lived plant, so it must be self-propagating from seed. Although there were only few dozens of plants, it seems to have been already naturalized.
Many thanks,
Eduart
