Yesterday we were outside the edge of the heatwave and barely reached 30C. This morning it has caught us up but at least these two are enjoying it.

Opuntia polyacantha var arenaria and Pterocactus valentinii

Thanks Ralph. It came to me from Ian Robinson. The number JC102 (ex HM) is on the label. Whatever that means.

Ian has some interesting and unusual plants. Why don't you ask him for info: his email address is on his web page:

Could the C be an L and the 2 a 3? HM is Harry Middleditch and he writes in The Chileans No 46 that he is growing JL 103.

Thanks Phil. Yes it is possible as the label is hand written.
