Help with ID please?

Post by Eudikati »

Hello,

I previously purchased these 2 under the names of xGasteraloe 'Monte Monroe' and Gasteria 'Araiso no Matsu', however looking up their names on google, the images does not appear to match what I have. Could you help with ID'ing or confirming if it correct please.

They're both Gasterias, no Aloe content. there's quite a few plants both plain and variegated with Matsu in the name, I think it means Pine Tree, Monte Monroe was a US Nurseryman from near Escondido, I just remember him growing loads of Pachypodiums. The plant with his name looks like one of the 'Silver' hybrids from Rick Nowakowski. There is a plant going around as 'Platinum' which is most likely. They're both nice clean plants but I wouldn't have much confidence in the names.
