Not an Echinopsis, and not even a flower, but an odd Haworthia truncata 'Mammoth' with its own satellite dish!

It's looking good to me! Mammoth is on my list of wants so if you do make leaf props or the keiki survive/root let me know!

Been drooling over some of the ChinaHaworthia forms after Anttun put his thread up and can understand what you mean about the windows.

It is certainly the largest cultivar I have, and I think one of the largest overall, I just find clear, glossy windows, or more sharp markings, more attractive. I want to try crossing it with the others I have and steer its aesthetics this way, but did not have much luck with flowers on it this winter.

I will do my best to remember about you when I have a spare one, but feel free to message me again later in the year.

Not "here" per se, but I occasionally see successful attempts online, like here.

Let's hope I will have something to add about this soon!

Quite a few Haworthiopsis species tend to send out underground stolons, which then produce new plants when they resurface (or come out of the bottom of the pot into the light).
But I was thinking more of the regular roots on fat rooted Haworthias when I asked my question.

Ah, yes, I just realised sharing a Haworthiopsis success story might be cheating a little, and it's hard to access whether the link I shared was a "real" root cutting propagation. Still, there are tales about e.g. H. truncata and H. t. var. maughanii doing this from time to time, but let's wait for someone who actually managed to achieve that.

It only works with roots that are fat like maughanii, truncata & retusa etc. Haworthia with with fine roots will not work has they do not have enough energy to last 9 to 12 months.
