:)

I mean.. what would you call them... :)

Actually, all these were emergency grafts, they've started to rot or to dry out so grafting seemed as the only way to give them a good chance for prolonged life. I was hoping for more success with cristate astro, but that one should do too...

Interesting to see you are using M. geometrizans for stocks. I know a lot of guys in the Far East use it, how have you found it AnTTun .
Because it must need warmth and careful watering.

@ Tina: shhhhhh... don't ask :)

@RAYWOODBRIDGE & el48tel: my myrtillos spend winter with other plants at around 5 C. Didn't have problems with them so far...

I find myrtillos good grafting stock & for me they normally take, (not that I graft that often )

They must be good because as I say the guys in the Far East grow some great plants on them.
But tights are a new one on me. ( if you pardon the expression )

Love the top one, that's very nice & symmetrical.
I'm not so keen the red gymno but at least it will be healthy

Astro won't stay neat too long it grows fast and wild. I already have one grafted but seems stock won't last too long, the scion grew way too big. I tried to root some cristate parts, as well as few regular shaped offsets but had very little luck. They have very soft bodies and for some reason rot easily.

I'm not keen on red gymno(s) either but I got this one from a friend with note 'something new from Taiwan'. And being curious... :)
