Hi all. Does anyone out there grow cacti
If so I am in desperate need of some material for the "Plant of the Month" feature on YOUR website.
I would be very grateful if you could all trawl through your old photos and allow me to showcase one of your wonderful plants.
If you are not sure what is required I can assure you it is VERY SIMPLE.
I need just two or three photos, consisting of a picture of the whole plant, a close up if needed, and one of the plant in flower if possible. You will be credited with these.
Also, any general info on the plant, particularly any cultivation hints you can offer.
I can send anyone a list of species already covered, on request.
Many thanks for anything you can offer.
Chris Coombes

Re: Plant of the month photo plea.
Hi all. Hope you had a good Christmas and here's wishing you all a happy new year.
Just a reminder (while there is not so much plant growing activities or events going on) i am ALWAYS in need of more material for the Plant of the Month feature on our website.
If you could motivate yourselves to look through any images you have taken of your plants and send me something, I would be eternally grateful
Generally all I require is two or three photos, consisting of a picture of the whole plant, a close up if needed, and one of the plant in flower if possible. You will be credited with these.
Also a short note with any general info on the plant, particularly any cultivation hints you can offer.
Please do not feel this is beyond you as any material is proof read and minor corrections made if necessary.
There are so many wonderful pictures of your plants posted on the Forum and Facebook pages it would take very little extra effort for some to be sent to me with a few accompanying words.
Please forward them to me at dragon133@ntlworld.com
Many thanks, Chris Coombes

Re: Plant of the month photo plea.
Where is the list of upcoming plants of the month? I may be able to supply some images.

Re: Plant of the month photo plea.
Hi Mike, there is no list of up and coming plants (I have so few articles in reserve!) but I can send you the list of all of those that have been featured over the last few years so that we avoid duplicates.
If you send a note to my email address I can forward it to you.
Anything you can send to me would be very much appreciated.

Re: Plant of the month photo plea.
Why not post the list here? I might have a few decent photographs of Bulbine mesembryanthoides subsp. mesembryanthoides in flower that could potentially make a short article?Cactus Kid wrote: ↑Tue Apr 04, 2023 7:02 pm [...] but I can send you the list of all of those that have been featured over the last few years so that we avoid duplicates.

All good with the download, but B. mesembryanthoides subsp. mesembryanthoides was posted 5 years ago. Maybe it's time for a refresh?Cactus Kid wrote: ↑Wed Apr 05, 2023 1:41 pm Try this, hope it works.

I'm sure after 5 years we can run it again with some new pics and info

Re: Plant of the month photo plea.
I understood when I last sent pictures that it was Other Succulents you were short of and OK for cacti. I think I sent four and you have used three of them for Mar 22, May 22 and Feb 23. I can have a look and see if I have anything of interest if you are hard up for cacti?
However in the past I gave the previous person appealing for pictures for Society or Journal use permission to use any images I had previously posted on the Forum or in my Chile Travelogue in any way they wished, therefore perhaps there are some among them useable for a Plant of the Month?

Re: Plant of the month photo plea.
Thanks very much for this, Dave.
I am always short of material and having to beg people to contribute, so if there are any other pics you can send along with a few words about them I would be very grateful.
I didn't know about your previous offer but will have a look through your posts when need.
Thanks again, Chris
