Grafting seedlings

Post by AnTTun »

For those that attended my ZOOM talk (but not only them), this is what it should look like 'two afternoons later':

Because of you I am currently acclimatising 4 Pereskiopsis spathulata.

I missed the bags part of your talk, is it just a temporary way to make the scions bond better?

You've reminded me that I need to get my last surviving scrap of Pereskiopsis out of the greenhouse for winter and give it some care and attention.

@Mat - bag is supposed to prevent pereskiopsis' top from drying too fast, so any humid environment should do

@Phil - I thought you've already done that :)

Is that after or before grafting?

After grafting. If you leave it in the room or outside it will dry too fast and push the scion away.

Its OK Mat, not easy to memorize 1 hour talk entirely. Feel free to ask if you have any further questions.
