August 2014 Colourful plants.
You are looking for variegated plants, stressed plants and plants that are not all green BUT no flowers.
Obsessive Crassulaceae lover, especially Aeoniums but also grow, Aloes, Agaves, Haworthias and a select number of Cacti.

Here's one of my Cyphostemma , originally from USA it's a hybrid cultivar called ' fat bastard', mine isn't that fat ( possibly as it was from a cutting) but is very colourful. I don't know if it's normally this colour or stressed but very pretty.
A pretty Astrophytum hybrid, the new growth is yellow.
Nice variegated Haworthia tortuosa, I have had this 3 years & still no offsets
Have to include a variegated agave

Euphorbia sp. Cape Guardafui, Puntland, Somalia
A rather dull, knackered, little grafted branch, with broken old grey 'spines' that is at last sending out a lot of bright fresh new growth Ever since admiring Gordon Rowleys collection of pressed dead Uebelmannias many years ago, I have managed to create my own over time. This one used to be purple, and after a long and happy life, has been dead and hollow for years. I still like it.
