Stapelia hirusta (I think) with blowfly larvae. As a budding Dipterist this sort of thing makes my day!

Leafcutter bee carrying leaf to its nest in a tube under propergator.
Because of the delay between pressing shutter release and the shutter opening I had to point the camera in the right area and press the button as I heard the bee flying over my shoulder. After several attempts I was lucky enough to get this shot.

Over the last few months several of my Lithops have mysteriously disappeared. Last week whilst re-potting some plants in the garden I found a load buried in the pots. So I set up a camera on a trip wire, and caught this little fella posing for the camera.
The odd Lithops here and there I can live with, but now he's getting really cheeky - those pots are expensive!Re: July 2011 Photo Competition - Visitors

these flowers have been open for nearly a fortnight ,only fully today . this plant spends all the time outside ,bee spotted on flowers !!!!! .
