Our third stop was pretty spectacular. Got two words for ya -GRAND CANYON! And our second new Agave in habitat, Agave utahensis...and lots of it! Along with many clumps of Ecac. polycephalus and Ecer. mojavensis. A special treat was an Escobaria in flower.

There isn't always time to go away for days on end, but it sure is wonderful when we do. I love being out there in habitat! Despite living so close, most of the plants we saw were for the first time.

It looks a dream of a trip, the desert is a fascinating place. Some really great plants there, especially the huge Echinocereus mojavensis and I'll never get my Agave utahensis to get that big!
Obsessive Crassulaceae lover, especially Aeoniums but also grow, Aloes, Agaves, Haworthias and a select number of Cacti.

Thanks, glad you enjoyed.
I'm happy to report a few of the E. polycephalus seeds i collected are slowly germinating, along with A. utahensis
