Hello Everyone

Although I kept cacti as a child and have always had a few succulent plants around the house I have only recently decided to start collecting, so I joined BCSS.
My main interests are Aloes, Crassula, Epiphytic cacti and Hoya. I don't have many at the moment as I've just started but am looking forward to making a hobby of it. It's typical of me that the succulents and epiphytes I like require different environments
I've already learned a few things from the forum and the one issue of CactusWorld I've received so far.

Looking forward to getting to know you all.
Eddie

Hello Eddie - I like epiphytes and hoyas too, although I don't have huge numbers of either. If you would like some cuttings from my big Rhipsalis burchellii drop me a PM - it could do with a haircut...

Maybe in the future I can copy your example when I have plants to offer a new member too

Hello Diane, thanks for the nice welcome
I've been spending some time on the forums and admiring everybody's succulents. (with some not very dignified drooling on my part )
Mind you, is there such a thing as dignified drooling?.
Seems a very friendly organisation.

Hiya Ray
As I've only just started up collecting I only have one big one (H carnosa) which is coming into flower for the second year running (even though I've had it for years)and 5 rooted cuttings which I've just bought.
The cuttings are H.imperialis, H gracilis, kerrii, loheri and obscura. However I've only had them a week and they haven't started into growth yet.
I'd love the ones you mentioned and will PM you. Thanks for the offer.
Maybe later I can return the favour if mine grow (and survive my ministrations).
Eddie

Hello Lindsey
Looks like a nickname that might stick if I'm not careful'
Still, Kris Kristofferson sang a song called 'Eddie The Eunuch' so things could be worse.
Like your Avatar. Do we all come to resemble our plants in time? If so I'd better choose my specialism carefully - maybe I'll end up as Eddie the Epiphyte after all!
