Hi Nobby,

my P. sp. SAR821 has just flowered :-) - do you have an ID for it?

Ray, Ralph (or anyone in fact) - I don’t have loads to trade but if you ever want to swap any bits of pteros I’d be more than happy to oblige. I’m looking for gonjianii and hickenii particularly but always happy to pick up something else I don’t have.
Growing in Nottingham for the past 4 years and recently found my way to a Nottingham branch meeting. A few plants on a windowsill has very quickly turned into a greenhouse full!

Attempting to grow a range of turbinicarpus, coryphantha, escobaria and several other cactus genera. Tylecodons, pelargoniums and conophytums keep me occupied in the winter and an ever expanding number of gasteria live under the bench.

Hello Ralph,

Ptero. SAR 821 is a spec. from west of Fiambala. It still has no name. But I'm sure someone will describe it at someday.

Norbert thank you for that.
My P. gonjianii is more upright than this plant so never thought it was labeled wrong.
Elizabeth and yourself are the experts in this field so I will be glad to change the label and start looking for a P. megliolii plant
So was I right in thinking P. megliolii should have a yellow flower (see early post in this thread )

Yes Ray, it's true, the flower of P. megliolii is always bright yellow.

Thanks Ray, really appreciated.

I’ve got a couple of megliolii plants that I think have collection numbers but I pretty much cut them back to ground level last year. More than happy to share cuttings when I have some.

hi Ian,

many of mine suffered last winter, but I hope to have a few spares soon, and will let you know.

All the best
