Mike, yes, keep them growing until about April next year when they’ll go to rest.
Aiko, I’d suggest if they are dropping leaves they want to go to rest. If not they could be winter growers.

Thanks Mike. When should I bring them into the greenhouse?

So, it is not that all Pelargoniums are basically winter active?

The little desirables that we like to grow are winter growers but the vast amount of Pelargoniums are summer growers.

In most books (and on dealer web sites) the ones we like to grow (tuberous or stem succulent) are referred to as "species", rather than the popular floral hybrids..

Good to know there is a difference. I will just see what mine will do the coming months!

Incidentally barklyi is usually one of the last to show.

My seedlings from September seem to be very happy, and the tuber is around 1.5cm. 3 out of 4 seeds germinated which I am very pleased about. Should I stop watering them now and let them die back for their summer rest?
Additionally, do I give them light watering throughout the summer to prevent them from totally drying out? When should I expect them to sprout for the winter?
