First flower

Post by SimonT »

Epithelantha micromeris L737. This plant was from seed sown two and a half years ago- seed was from ADBLPS.
The spines change as the plant matures. I think this plant still shows mostly immature spines - except for the longer ones at the top of the plant.
The flower is 4mm across- the plant 2.5cm across.

Thanks for sharing. That's a nice looker.
Endeavouring to grow Aylostera, Echinocereus, Echinopsis, Gymnocalycium, Matucana, Rebutia, and Sulcorebutia. Fallen out of love with Lithops and aggravated by Aeoniums.
Currently being wooed by Haworthia, attempting hybridisation, and enticed by Mesembs.

Always happy to help. I want everyone to be able to have the best record of their plants.

I was not expecting flowering just yet. I was planning to repot and top dress with shells this year and perhaps
add limestone chips to the compost to see if I could boost the growth a bit. I think I'll hold off on this now.
