Re: A slow start
I still feel that GH heating and dehumidifying are like attempting to store coffee in a sock/pair of tights.
Endeavouring to grow Aylostera, Echinocereus, Echinopsis, Gymnocalycium, Matucana, Rebutia, and Sulcorebutia. Fallen out of love with Lithops and aggravated by Aeoniums.
Currently being wooed by Haworthia, attempting hybridisation, and enticed by Mesembs.

Re: A slow start
Gave everything some water over the weekend during a pocket of warm late afternoon sunshine... and then it dropped to 4 °C overnight last night
Growing in Nottingham for the past 4 years and recently found my way to a Nottingham branch meeting. A few plants on a windowsill has very quickly turned into a greenhouse full!
Attempting to grow a range of turbinicarpus, coryphantha, escobaria and several other cactus genera. Tylecodons, pelargoniums and conophytums keep me occupied in the winter and an ever expanding number of gasteria live under the bench.

Re: A slow start
It was waiting for you to do that very act.
Went to about 2C here east of Leeds.

Re: A slow start
I've sprayed everything with the hose pipe once (the floor is full of rescued plants and I can't get in).
I would normally have watered everything by now.
Last year I started a new outside job on the 4th April. That day was wet and then we never had any wet days until the Summer School Holidays. No chance of a repeat this year.
