A few more early flowers

Post by Ali Baba »

A few more things flowering now, plus lots of buds coming
IMG_4488.jpeg
Mammillaria senilis doing its normal annoying thing of flowering on the sunny side only
IMG_4490.jpeg
No idea what the correct name is for this now but the seed packet said Neoporteria senilis
IMG_4487.jpeg
Turbinicarpus valdezianus, the white flowered form is much earlier than this in my greenhouse
IMG_4486.jpeg
And if you like that kind of thing a xerophyte from Mexico, Prosthechea vitellina

Endeavouring to grow Aylostera, Echinocereus, Echinopsis, Gymnocalycium, Matucana, Rebutia, and Sulcorebutia. Fallen out of love with Lithops and aggravated by Aeoniums.
Currently being wooed by Haworthia, attempting hybridisation, and enticed by Mesembs.

Very nice - your neoporteria senilis and t. valdezianus are a few days ahead of mine.
Growing in Nottingham for the past 4 years and recently found my way to a Nottingham branch meeting. A few plants on a windowsill has very quickly turned into a greenhouse full!

Attempting to grow a range of turbinicarpus, coryphantha, escobaria and several other cactus genera. Tylecodons, pelargoniums and conophytums keep me occupied in the winter and an ever expanding number of gasteria live under the bench.
