This autumn like weather this July is taking its toll on my winter growing plants. First Dioscoreas, 4 different species threw out their shoots, with first one around 2 weeks ago. But today I have spotted a leaf developing on Tylecodon singularis! I really don't recollect seeing it in growth that early before.
Anybody has got similar experience?
Maciej

Re: Autumn weather
It's certainly making the summer growers confused. Any remaining flower buds are being aborted and are falling off.
Endeavouring to grow Aylostera, Echinocereus, Echinopsis, Gymnocalycium, Matucana, Rebutia, and Sulcorebutia. Fallen out of love with Lithops and aggravated by Aeoniums.
Currently being wooed by Haworthia, attempting hybridisation, and enticed by Mesembs. Recently discovered gorgeous Gasteria.

It’s not been too bad here but the forecast for the coming week is pretty manky.

My Pachypodium namaquanum is coming into leaf rather early - maybe because I sprayed it.MaciejW wrote: ↑Fri Jul 21, 2023 10:50 pm This autumn like weather this July is taking its toll on my winter growing plants. Re: Autumn weather
Some early spring growers are confused too. One of my Pediocactus knowltonii is budding up.

Re: Autumn weather
My Echinopsis have lost a few buds but others seem to be holding so far.
But I have had more Rebutia / Aylostera reflowering than ever before. 'Katherine' has produced another flush of flowers rather than just the odd one or two.

Re: Autumn weather
Yes these past few weeks I've had hybrid Rebutia reflowering but not the species. The weather is more "spring" than "summer".
