Hi All,
I wonder if one of you has A.polyphylla flowering and would like to exchange pollen. We have one of David Kirkbright's which has been outside unprotected, save for being up against a west facing wall, for the last two winters and it obviously had enough water this winter which is what probably prompted it to flower.
Regards, Suzanne

Re: Aloe polyphylla
Hi Suzanne,
Mine is still in bud but happy to send you some if it starts flowering in time. My friend's might flower a bit earlier than mine so I can get some from him if mine won't be quick enough.

Hi Edds,
That sounds good, glad someone else is flowering theirs at the moment. It looks as though yours is about a week away from opening its first flower.. So yes please to the pollen and contact again when available.
Best wishes, Suzanne

Re: Aloe polyphylla
Exciting.
Here's hoping you end up with a spare capsule or 2 that can be donated to the BCSS seed list

Hi Edds,
I see you are thinking of sending buds, but unless they have opened and the polle on the anthers has matured buds will be no good I think.
