Nah! Worth a try. You might just get some success
Endeavouring to grow Aylostera, Echinocereus, Echinopsis, Gymnocalycium, Matucana, Rebutia, and Sulcorebutia. Fallen out of love with Lithops and aggravated by Aeoniums.
Currently being wooed by Haworthia, attempting hybridisation, and enticed by Mesembs. Recently discovered gorgeous Gasteria.

I keep Aloe & Gasteria pollen in the refrigerator. It is viable up to 3 - 6 months.

Mike, thank you. No dessicating or science lab stuff needed?

Dessicating might increase the longevity of pollen but have not tried any special treatment yet.
Pollen is stored together with food and I do
not always seal the bags properly but so far
It works for me. There is definitely room for improvement.🙂

I picked up a pack of gasteria pollen from a free offering at a branch meeting recently. I don't feel so bad now that I've seen absolutely no evidence of any germination whatsoever
Growing in Nottingham for the past 4 years and recently found my way to a Nottingham branch meeting. A few plants on a windowsill has very quickly turned into a greenhouse full!

Attempting to grow a range of turbinicarpus, coryphantha, escobaria and several other cactus genera. Tylecodons, pelargoniums and conophytums keep me occupied in the winter and an ever expanding number of gasteria live under the bench.
