I believe a concerted effort was made to place A4 adverts in local garden centres and shops. Minimal effort but with a positive effect.
Endeavouring to grow Aylostera, Echinocereus, Echinopsis, Gymnocalycium, Matucana, Rebutia, and Sulcorebutia. Fallen out of love with Lithops and aggravated by Aeoniums.
Currently being wooed by Haworthia, attempting hybridisation, and enticed by Mesembs. Recently discovered gorgeous Gasteria.

On the bright side, Spalding Cactus Mart held back in April when things were just starting up after Covid was well attended and, from a nurseryman's view, a resounding success.

On the topic of advertising, Croydon branch placed an advert for their show on 23rd July in the free local magazine, which goes to every house in the postcode area. When it was published last week, we discovered that the advert actually showed last year's date! The editor has acknowledged it was their fault and we won't pay, I don't really understand the explanation. Disappointing to say the least We can only try.
