Yeah I did think this today. It’s only come in on a bought plant and the only way I could completely avoid in the future would be to grow from seedPattock wrote: ↑Fri Apr 15, 2022 1:33 pmGrowing everything from seed is a bother but also a delight when they actually grow. I am surprised every time and I have been doing it for 45 years. I am definitely moving towards getting all my new plants as seed, where possible.Trevk81 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 14, 2022 10:53 pm Loupe and bug clear ultra added to the Amazon basket!
Can’t say I can see webbing, but I’ll try an have a closer look in the daylight tomorrow and angle them like you mentioned
I guess this is all part of collecting nature, bugs want to get involved!
I try quarantining new plants, any other tips for preventing pests?

Is this scarring at the bottom of the schottii stem? Could this be cactus mite damage?

more likely to be cold damage, if your sure its not mechanical damage from being bashed at some time

Re: Help. Is this spider mites?
Got a better picture, still not close enough to identify legs though
Re: Help. Is this spider mites?
Just watched them crawl about too! Little buggers, will nuke them today with bug clear ultra 2
Re: Help. Is this spider mites?
Gave them a good blast of clear ultra 2. A couple of days later this little fella popped up. Much bigger and not pale like the others I’ve seen

That last photo looks more like a type of Globular Springtail.

Re: Help. Is this spider mites?
Yes, I think the last photo is a red herring. It might have been accidentally caught by your spray, or maybe just passing through. If you keep a sharp eye on your plants, there are all sorts of tiny things crawling about on them on on the soil.
