Yes silica gel helps but I've never managed to get more than 6 months with it.Aeonium2003 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 26, 2022 9:24 pmStore it with some silica desiccant. With that, it's possible to store up to a year or 2.
Endeavouring to grow Aylostera, Echinocereus, Echinopsis, Gymnocalycium, Matucana, Rebutia, and Sulcorebutia. Fallen out of love with Lithops and aggravated by Aeoniums.
Currently being wooed by Haworthia, attempting hybridisation, and enticed by Mesembs. Recently discovered gorgeous Gasteria.

Re: February 2022 - The colors and shapes of February
It is not easy to be able to designate this month's favorite due to the beauty of the images that have been posted and which impressed me very much. In particular I was attracted by the post of Aeonium 2003 for the spectacularity of the bud but the gathering of thorns of Christian's Maihueniopsis darwinii with the intertwining rays of the winter sun reminded me of the end of winter and the expectation of spring.
My choice for February is therefore for Cristian's Maihueniopsis darwinii!
A wonderful March to you all! Ruggero
