Last week we kept having a bit of afternoon sun, some of the cactus were getting a little warm.
This is a lovely lime coloured Lophophora diffusa that is looking very wrinkled ATM so it had its sun hat on, I don't want to water it yet but may have to soon.
What do others do when its starts getting sunny
(sun then, today it was dog walking in -2c, they loved it I didn't )

Re: Suns out hats on
I get the impression these really don't like the cold. I certainly don't water mine until spring is thoroughly established. It does look pretty squidgy by the time it gets water, but even then doesn't fatten up until we're properly into summer. Takes lots of sun when it is very warm, not so happy about it in the cold. I have a few cacti like this and just put them under the staging until they're ready to bake.

The hats are only temporary and this poor loph is right at the front so maybe needs moving somewhere else, does look very sad.
