Hello All
Does anyone, like me, get fed up with scraping bar code labels off pots, and then having to get the glue residue off. I use white spirit to get it off completely.
Couldn't vendors use a glue that leaves little or no residue?
best regards ... Stef

Yes I agree it's all a bit tiresome. I believe there used to be something called 'sticky stuff remover', not sure if it still exists, but I suspect that white spirit works just as well. I suppose from the vendors point of view, they just want to make sure the label stays attached.

A while ago I bought a load of 3" plastic saucers on eBay.
They were just what I wanted, but every one had a sticky bar code label on it!

Old fashioned lighter fluid works a treat, too.

Yes .... they probably could ..... but it's that type of adhesive which comes off in water ..... and in the damp conditions of the nursery would drop off after a few days ..... would make life miserable at the check outsaddlestoneman wrote: ↑Sat Oct 10, 2020 11:52 am .................

Lidl occasionally sell bottles of sticky label remover.
