Best tephrocactus resources and cold hardiness

Post by Stoogle »

Hello

Hope everyone is well, please can you tell me what are the best resources in terms of books and articles in terms of tephrocactus? Am also interested in cold hardy species and finding out more about this please. If anyone can share any helpful info that would be much appreciated.

Thanks

And as a general guide, they're probably no more or less hardy than all of the other cacti with which they grow in Argentina, Bolivia and southern Peru. They'll nearly all be OK to just on freezing if kept dry. None will really thrive outdoors in the UK, though Maihueniopsis darwinii will probably survive.
