All the cacti are now well into their stride, with buds and flowers appearing everywhere, but I was quite taken with this bunch of yellow flowered plants today.
First up is Parodia chrysacanthion with a lovely crown of blooms:
Here's Sulcorebutia heliosoides living up to its specific epithet of "sunlike":
Lobivia famatinensis:
A diminutive Parodia gibbulosa, choice and rare in cultivation, 6 years old from seed, in a 2" pot:
And Pterocactus australis in a 2" pot:
Sunshine in a pot!

Re: Sunshine in a pot!
They look lovely Diane, you are still ahead of me with flowering! I was looking at my P. chrysacanthion today and it's budding up nicely, one of my favourites. A lot of Gymnocalyciums are nearly in flower, so maybe soon I can post pictures of them.

Re: Sunshine in a pot!
I imagined it got its name from the fact that it looks a bit like Aylostera heliosa.
It's a super flower, anyway.
Well done with your Parodia gibbulosa too. I must have planted seeds of thsi 10 times, and nothing has ever come up for me.

Wow! Fantastic plants, amazingly grown! Beautifully photographed too. Would you mind summarizing how you took them? Thanks
