GotM - hibernation?
Wondering if there’s any interest in re-starting Genus of the Month? Nothing posted for ages. As a newbie I’d love to learn more through this thread.

Good idea
Endeavouring to grow Aylostera, Echinocereus, Echinopsis, Gymnocalycium, Matucana, Rebutia, and Sulcorebutia. Fallen out of love with Lithops and aggravated by Aeoniums.
Currently being wooed by Haworthia, attempting hybridisation, and enticed by Mesembs. Recently discovered gorgeous Gasteria.

Agreed, I used to enjoy the discussions and found it helpful.

Re: GotM - hibernation?
I became a bit disillusioned with it after months of starting threads that garnered no response, despite it being one of my favourite sections, too. The sometimes erratic updating of the home page doesn't help... Hopefully, if/when this post is filled that will improve.
Anyway, for now, I've set up a thread for the current genus, Euphorbia, even though it's actually February's GotM.Phil Crewe, BCSS 38143. Mostly S. American cacti, esp. Lobivia, Sulcorebutia and little Opuntia

You can take the boy out of the greenhouse, but you can't take the greenhouse out of the boy!
