Finally found a cactus with spines
Re: September Topic: Spines and other Sharp Things
Wow, some incredibly good pictures… Jim Mercer's last photo gets second place for sure… but best picture goes to the close up of Mike T's tiny little spiny purply Mammillaria flower. My camera won't even get that close…. great focus! Like from another planet. Congratulations Mike T!

Would that be the Trichodiadema flower? (I usually put the winning picture into the gallery)lzrddr wrote:best picture goes to the close up of Mike T's tiny little spiny purply Mammillaria flower

Re: September Topic: Spines and other Sharp Things
Thanks, lzrddr
It's getting tricky to think of a suitable topic. Most of my first few thoughts have already been done, when I look back at previous topics. How about 'the blues'? Scope for some cacti and some other succulents. Even some scope for flowers, though not much in the way of blue cacti flowers, I must admit.
So, is October a good month for 'The Blues'?
Not quite a Mammillarialzrddr wrote:tiny little spiny purply Mammillaria flower.
Yes, Jim, it's the hairy crown of Trichodiadema den sum. Grown from seed, a few years ago.Jim_Mercer wrote:Would that be the Trichodiadema flower?
