Very nice, do you ever get seed or do we not have the right bugs, noticed this year we have had hardly any bee's & we live practically in a field ( 3 sides of the garden)

Being new to this type of plant, do you remove the offsets that hang down the side of the pot, and try to root them when time is right ? Cheers

You don't have to remove them Eric, they fall off at the slightest touch and root up easily in spring.
Piaranthus flower so late that there aren't any insects around to pollinate.

I don't think bees have anything to do with pollination more flies.

You will find with quite a few stapeliads that as the front grows outwards, the back end tends to die off, so they need regular repotting to cope with this. Taking all the new shoots off is not a successful strategy...
