you will soon see the difference, A asterias should germinate first and is quiet easy to grow for 3 months or so, they will be dark green blobs with tiny white marks ( miniature versions of the adult ) between 4 and 9 months old it is easy to lose a few then after that they seem to settle down and g...

I go with Liz , checking plants to be clean is a must, but when I see one or two nestled in the top spines of a plant out comes the meths and fine artist brush, paint it on watch them turn black and then to mush, it's a bit like big game hunting but on a small scale,

Hi Peter I would go with DaveW on this one, except for the new spines are white not reddish, so as Carl says Aporo is in there, also size after eight months is small for Heliocereus. But with this type of plant, are there any true species in collections, most are mixes of hybrids going back a long w...

agree with Tony looks like O. elata with the hint of red/brown in the areoles.
if it gets a bit to dry in the winter small end pads will drop off quite easy.
so you will soon have lots of spare plants and flowers in time.
