Re: Which seeds have you ordered this year?
Where did you get the seeds from edds? I got them from Mark Davies seeds - I'd recommend ordering them through his eBay account as he appears to have issues with his website. I have also asked for some in the BCSS seedlist as I thought these weren't germinating! Should have been more patient but it...

We could definitely do with a like button on this forum as I agree with both your points!
The one I have is supposed to be a nice bicoloured one - hopefully it will be when it flowers!

Re: Which seeds have you ordered this year?
The first Aloe polyphylla has spouted today!
Terrible picture as I had to crop it a lot but there's a tiny green radicle ( I assume) growing out of the end. Just the lift I needed today.- Wed Jan 08, 2020 8:39 pm

Re: Plastic-free propagation?
We're trying to cut our plastic use too but I have compromised by buying much more durable plant pots and trays so that I will be able to reuse them again and again. I have some seed trays that are over 20 years old. I find the packaging for things that I but much more problematic and I can't unders...

If it's inside, in a warm room like mine hopefully the plant won't know it's not Spring!

Re: Schlumbergera: repotted
I've just done mine too Mike. As it's in a warm room and I thought it had finished flowering I figured it was as good time as any.

Re: Question about seedling light levels
I'm rather dubious about the accuracy of the phone light meter too Terry. However the explanation I read about their accuracy on a photography website indicated they were surprisingly accurate as they use the technology built into the phone to get the right automatic exposure for their images. I'm s...
