Re: Mediolobivia ‘leopygmaea’
Infuriatingly none of my "leopygmaeas" have had flowers at the same time. Until today- here are two brothers / sisters, from the same sowing, cuttings from Leo Busch. I've rarely been so excited about waiting for seed to develop  Did you get any seed from these? Unfortunately no, nev...

Re: Weingartia (Sulcorebutia) breviflora L314 flower colour
So how do you decide if they are from a single population? Is it just because you get a set of colour variants from one cross? My post in reply yesterday has mysteriously vanished :???: Possibly I forgot to "submit". No, I just wanted to show (myself) that yellow flowered plants aren't on...

Re: Mediolobivia ‘leopygmaea’
A wee update on these plants. The typical one that I've seen as "leopygmaea" is flowering today, and gets better every year. What a stunning plant.

Re: Weingartia (Sulcorebutia) breviflora L314 flower colour
I have lots of different breviflora collection numbers here, and almost exclusively yellow, one or two verging on orange or brownish. L314 is well known for coming in a variety of colour morphs and I was keen to see if this represented different populations. I suspect the pink version may be from a ...

Weingartia (Sulcorebutia) breviflora L314 flower colour
I know it is a few years ago since the last post when I mentioned this https://forum.bcss.org.uk/viewtopic.php?p=238545&hilit=l314#p238545 but I have finally got around to growing from seeds of L314. Seeds were collected by isolating two plants, both with yellow flowers. The resulting seeds were...

Re: 2023 NORTH WEST CACTUS MART --- 20th May --- Alkrington, Middleton, Manchester
Now I moved north I thought I'll be closer to the "north west cactus mart"... Keep dreaming Mat  Shouldn't this be called "a third way north cactus mart" instead? Unless it's the Londoners' "north of Camden" definition of north. And a wee bit of (hopefully mor...

Re: Echinopsis Subdenudata ailing pups...
I wonder if they are self-seeded seedlings rather than pups, and are being outcompeted for nutrients by the mother plant?

Re: Glasgow branch meetings programme
Ahh, that (sort of) explains the radio silence, although some automatic replies from official email addresses and a note on the branch website would be good to add. Level isn't crazy far, and I found the show details. Thank you! Are you planning to come? No I don't think I can make it Mat. Some oth...
