I've checked STC Phil but not in their listings at present. I've e-mailed them to ask if they will have in 2008.

Paul, I've just realised that you must be the Paul that wrote that excellent article on hardy Agaves.

Re: Growing succulents in the garden Solved
Thanks Paul.
The problem is that ferox is now too big to get back into the greenhouse.
I have left it out in the garden before but completely bubble wrapped. This year I have double fleeced it.
We shall see!

Re: First 2008 seed catalogue ?
I may not do many seeds next year. I did so many last year which germinated well and acquired other plants from you very kind people that space is becoming limited.
Then again I shall probably weaken........

Re: Growing succulents in the garden Solved
I am intending to try a hardy Agave garden next year- all rubble and gravel etc.
Would Aloe ferox survive outdoors in this if fleeced (as now but in a pot)? It is already big but needs even more room.

Re: A few late flowers
My lithops have also been poor this year and no sign of flower on Ariocarpus retusus which flowered last year.
Fero. latispinus v. flavispinus has 2 decent sized buds but I don't think they are going to make it.

Marlon, have you degrafted and rooted Discocactus or Uebelmannia?
I intend to next spring so any advice would be very welcome!
