Thank you everyone for your participation!
The winner is el48tel's Parodia schwebsiana. It didn't have the large, brightly colored flowers of some of the other pictures, but I liked how the spines complemented the smaller orange bloom.

Re: Growing succulents in a vertical wall
Ed, I've not found Sedum nussbaumerianum to be particualrly hardy. It comes through milder winters but do be prepared to lose it. That said, I've not grown it vertically, so maybe that will help. In fact, now it is in my mind, I will put a cutting in one of my crevices and see! Yes. My Adolphii got...

Perhaps it's your Aeoniums looking colorful as they go into their dormant state. I'll start this off with this unknown Echinopsis hybrid. PXL_2...

Re: February 2022 - The colors and shapes of February
Didn't have chance this week Terry and there are a number of other flowers coming through to give some fresher pollen when I might have something else to put it on! Collect it on cotton bud stick. Wrap in kitchen foil. Put in airtight food box Place in fridge It will be viable for 4 months Store it...

Re: Aeonium Stigma receptive.
Often, pollen is produced before the stigma becomes receptive and self-fertility may be primarily from transfer of pollen between flowers, rather than at the same flower. As for the specifics of your cross, I've no idea I'm afraid. Thank you. I think I will apply pollen on the stigmas for 3 consecu...
