Re: Greenhouse leaks

I have a similar problem with water seeping in under the structure and have seen small amounts of water getting in through gaps in the roof during very heavy rain. I did consider getting out the sealant gun and trying to stop these issues but haven't got around to it as of yet.

Re: Is anyone using an electric dehumidifier in their greenhouse at this time of year?

I’ve got a 3kw Simply Control fan heater with the fan on continuously all year round and a cylindrical fan hanging in the roof, plus in the winter I’ve an old Parwin heater as an extra fan at ground level which just works as a fan. In a 10x8 greenhouse I’ve got a phoenix fan heater connected to a t...

A related question- what sort of fans are people using for air circulation? Size, number, rpm etc?

Re: Late summer flowers

I've got 5 or 6 turbinicarpus in flower at the moment, including some that haven't flowered yet this year. Seems very late in the year... I also popped out to the greenhouse yesterday evening to find my pygmaeocereus bieblii in flower again! The smell is incredible, and goes some way to masking the ...

Re: Cat litter

I’ve just started using this for the majority of my plants. I think I’ve added too much cat litter in relation to grit and a bit of compost. Pots seem to be taking a long time to dry out. Do others use this alongside compost or instead of? I’ve since upped the amount of grit im using and that seems ...

Re: is this normal?

Given how much nurseries are charging for tiny cuttings of these I’d say you’re on to a winner!

Off topic, but some cracking tylecodons in one of your photos there.
